Announcement of Annual Meeting
November 29, 2018 | 6:00 pm
The annual business meeting of the Aldine Pathfinder District is being held in the boardroom at the Aldine ISD Sonny Donaldson Building (2520 W W Thorne Blvd, Houston, TX 77073). The district committee is responsible for increasing the effectiveness of Scouting throughout a district through the achievement of district goals. Thus, the task of the district nominating committee selecting a slate of competent officers and members at large for the next year is an extremely important one. The nominating committee forms the slate of nominees for district chair, one or more vice chairs, and district members at large. During the annual business meeting, chartered organization representatives, and registered district and council members will vote on the slate of officers following the procedures as outlined in the District Nominating Committee Worksheet, No. 14-33157.
All registered chartered organization representatives from within the district’s boundaries and duly elected district members at large as well as registered council members at large residing in the district are eligible to vote. The Aldine Pathfinder District serves over 500 youth in the Aldine Independent School District and every month of the year is filled with programs and values-based activities for these youth and their families. Scouting plays an important role in our community and support is needed.
Nominations for district members at large or district officers, are to be submitted to the nominating committee two weeks prior to the meeting. The nominating committee for 2018:
